Small, picturesque house with lots of free space around you.
With the good navigation (settings) the cottage is great to find, the surroundings and privacy are fantastic (the deer walked through the garden). At first glance the house is very charming but the hygiene and comfort are far to be found, there is really nothing to be found in the vicinity in terms of shops or restaurants, everything has to be done by car, for whom once want to go all the way back to nature and want to lug tree trunks in the evening to keep the wood burning stove going, this is great, but for people with a preference for luxury and comfort it is not recommended, otherwise the owner is very nice and helpful but does not speak a word of English, so some knowledge of the French language is very useful.
We were very warmly welcomed by Mr Grenier, the owner. He speaks a few words English, but with a little good will you can follow each other best. The cottage is very old a farmhouse converted from 1300 and 30 years ago to holiday home. Everything is present. The sofa is good and the bed is fine. It is easy. The location is great !!! We enjoyed the peace and space around the cottage.
We have been a nice stay in Dordogne.Fijn been received by the owner, welcoming and behulpzaam.Eigenaar few times with us for coffee and got to know a little more what was on offer in the area. The house stands on a place where your dog is also welcome is.In nearby are beautiful villages and towns and the Dordogne river winds through the fantastic scenery. at the local tourism too there are many marked trails, you can return once a hiking kopen.Wij definitely go for € 2.50.
