Description
A beautiful village house used as a holiday home in the quiet and charming hamlet of La Caunette, close to the picturesque medieval village of Minerve (6 km). Minerve is a wonder in itself, the town is set between deep ravines, really impressive to see! The area around Minerve is called the Minervois, and this is also the name of the fine, high-quality wines produced in this region. Feel free to open a few bottles!
The pretty 14th-century holiday home has a beautiful garden with stunning views. The setting is magnificent and perfect for lovers of walking and tranquillity.
For culture lovers, there are two nearby sites on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The first is the famous Canal du Midi: hire a boat from the town of Homps (17 km) and set off to discover this beautifully situated canal. En route, take a break in one of the many restaurants on the banks of the canal. The other World Heritage site is the beautiful fortified town of Carcassonne (47 km). Visit also the beautiful Olonzac (14 km), the lovely town of Narbonne (30 km) and the seaside resort of Gruissan (43 km). The swimming lake of Jouarre is 12 km away. Supermarket (3 km) and shopping centre (8 km). Beautiful village house with character and a lovely swimming pool (5 x 3 m, 1.20 m deep). The pool and garden are at the front of the house (10 m away). Just cross the small village road. There's only one car a day here, as it's a cul-de-sac and the hamlet has only 30 inhabitants. Really quiet!

The bathroom was dirty, mold in the shower. After showering for 3 minutes, the shower overflows because the water does not drain. When we reported this to the owner, we received an answer that this was a problem that could not be solved. To get to the garden and pool you have to cross a street, this is not mentioned in the description of the house. The pool is not only small but also only 1.20m deep. Not visible in the photos, but it is a surface-mounted swimming pool that is above ground. The photos in the advertisement suggest that you have a wide view of the surroundings, nothing could be further from the truth, the garden is completely closed with no view. Regrettable.

Het huis was ruim, met genoeg ruimte voor onze groep. We hebben genoten van de barbecue in de buitenlucht en hebben veel avonden bij het zwembad doorgebracht. Het is een perfecte uitvalsbasis om het prachtige landschap van Languedoc-Roussillon te verkennen.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in dit vakantieappartement. Alles was goed geregeld en we vonden het geweldig dat het dichtbij de lokale bezienswaardigheden lag. Een echte aanrader voor een familievakantie!
This holiday home was a great choice for our family trip, The three bedrooms gave us plenty of space, and the kitchen was well-equipped for our needs, Plus, the barbecue facilities were a hit!
