Maison de vacances - QUERRIEN
Cosy holiday home with terrace near Quimperlé
Description
Typical Breton vacation home in the natural surroundings of Querrien. This location is ideal for (forest) walks and bike rides. In the garden with garden furniture, lounge chairs and BBQ you can enjoy the sun while reading a good book.
All necessary facilities are nearby. In the lovely village of Querrien (5 km) you will find a baker, grocer, bank, post office and tennis court. For cozy restaurants, cafes and shops, head to the picturesque Quimperlé (7 km) with its beautiful old streets. You can easily exchange the green Breton countryside for a wonderful day at the beach in the lovely seaside resort of Le Pouldu (20 km). Canoeing can be done on the river Ellé near the beautiful Roches du Diable (12 km).
You can make a day trip to the port of Concarneau (25 km), where the atmospheric center is still completely enclosed by ancient city walls. The fishing port of Pont-Aven (29 km) served as an inspiration for the painter Paul Gauguin, so you might want to take a look as well. And you can't really ignore the beautiful city of Quimper (53 km) either. Here you can admire the impressive cathedral and one of the several museums.

We stayed for the second time in the charming house of Querrien, and we are always delighted by it, although far from the beaches and tourist sites (and it is precisely for this reason that we chose it) it is a haven of peace in the middle of a very beautiful countryside. The owner is charming! Only downside for me, the refrigerator a little small not leaving the forecasts of several meals in advance. For the rest, very spacious room, high quality bedding, for me who easily have back pain, no problem there, we slept like kings! Little more, I very much appreciate the gesture, to have had toilet paper and cleaning paper available, as well as trash bags on our arrival, which makes it possible not to run to the store when you have just set up!
Reliable and customer-oriented information, Clear site and documentation,
Excellent location to discover the Finistère-Morbihan region by car. A number of recommendations: lie on the beach in Le Pouldu. Visit megaliths in Carnac. Nice walks in the woods around Quimperlé. Visit cozy harbor towns such as Doëlan.Het house itself has everything you need. Toilet paper, tablets for the dishwasher, detergent for the washing machine, charcoal for the BBQ, kitchen linen, bed linen and so on were all provided and we could use at no extra cost. The 2 single beds in the bedroom, which you can slide together, were excellent and very large (120cm wide per bed). Everything was clean and in accordance with the photos.
The house itself exudes an authentic atmosphere. Had a very nice week in a very quiet area. You can also explore the coast and inland by bicycle. An e-bike or good condition will help.
Warm welcome by owners, quiet, rural setting and a great characteristic house with a good garden.
We were kindly welcomed, everything was clearly explained and we received a bottle of wine and a bottle of water as a welcome. The accommodation immediately looked cozy and practical. The area offers a lot. A few recommendations: Le Pouldu is a lovely beach, sheltered, not too busy and even with low tide you can swim. If you like oysters (and especially the flat oysters) then you have to drive via Riec-sur-Belon to Port de Belon and there in the shade of the trees and overlooking the river, eat picnic tables, eat oysters, accompanied by half a bottle of Muscadet sur lie.
