Description
This charming holiday home traces its origins back to the 16th century. It features a natural setting and a beautiful garden adorned by a magnificent flower bed between 15 April and 15 June. The property is suitable for a couple or a small family.
The accommodation is close to Saint-Laurent-des-Mortiers (3 km) and
Lion d'Angers (25 km), where the spectacular horse event takes place every year. You can swim at the outdoor pool in Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe (11 km) or in the nearby Mayenne River, and renting a boat at Daon (12 km) is also worthwhile. Fans can fish at the lake in Sœurdres (5 km) and in nearby Champigné you will find a beautiful 18-hole golf course.
From the covered terrace you can fully enjoy the beautiful garden. At the back of the house you will find a charming sitting area, among the flowers. The discreet owners live on this side of the property (30 m).

Not worth repeating, in short, the transfer on the Belvilla site does not (any longer) correspond to reality. If desired, we have photos to support many of the objections below. The photos on the site were taken in better times ... - covered terrace: not usable, existing garden furniture is worn, broken and dirty - 2nd seat at the back of the house is indeed very nice, but our dog had to be on a leash due to the presence of 3 cats (not communicated in advance, otherwise we simply would not have booked, our dog does not correspond to cats) and that is not feasible during a fourteen-day holiday. mezzanine is very small and low, accessible via a very steep staircase, not suitable for people with reduced mobility - this is possible, but is not mentioned in the description- BBQ: in a dusty stable is a large gas barbecue, not ready before use, not cleaned, not connected. The spokesperson for the landlord (who was traveling himself) reports this to the owner, who informs us by telephone that we should clean it ourselves. Since we do not agree to this, a BBQ will only be delivered to us on the third day. Difficult for the first days as the kitchen is too small to cook in on a daily basis. Facilities as listed on Belvilla.be, but which are not correct: no swimming pool (!), no DVD player, tumble dryer defective and not available during our whole holiday, covered terrace not usable, very limited garden furniture, no BBQ during the first three days, no play equipment (not applicable for us, but not correct), no cot, no high chairPositive to mention: + very quiet location, for those who searches+ size of the domain
Very friendly owner. Speak perfect English. The house complied. Kitchen is very old fashioned. Actually, we only have one minus point. We spent at least half an hour cleaning the house from spiders and cobwebs. Really dirty. Very large spider webs. We were allowed to use their entire garden. Once again the lady is very welcoming.
Beautiful, quiet location. Good base for excursions but also to simply relax on the spot. Very friendly owners.
