Manor House on the banks of the River Monnow
The Manor on the Monnow offers an elegant group escape in the historic town of Monmouth, birthplace of King Henry V. Set on the banks of the River Monnow, this baroque manor is just a 10-minute walk from Monmouth Castle and the independent shops, cafés, and pubs that earned the town a place among the Sunday Times’ top three UK locations to live. With gated grounds at the end of a quiet lane, guests enjoy peace and privacy.
Sleeping up to 24 guests plus two infants, the manor features 11 bedrooms, nine with private bathrooms. Two ground-floor twin rooms offer easy access, one ensuite and one with a nearby shower. The Great Hall with a wood burner sets the tone for relaxed evenings, while the bright dining room seats everyone for shared meals. A fully equipped kitchen, breakfast room, and TV lounge ensure comfort and convenience. Leisure options include a games room with table tennis, pool, and table football, and a riverside hot tub. The two-acre fenced grounds include outdoor seating, a barbecue area, and direct river access for swimming, fishing, and walks.
