Complete house, quiet area, definitely worth it!
Nice and nice house, beautifully situated in nature. We had a great time with the two of us. But unfortunately we didn't sleep very well, the mattress was a bit on the hard side and there was a lot of dust (we are both allergic to dust) so that was a bit of a shame…
The cottage is in a great spot. Nice and quiet, with fantastic views. The terrace is beautifully laid out and spacious, with a covered spot to sit sheltered at all times. The cottage is a bit older, but the quality of the layout is fine. Only the mattress needs to be replaced. Although the surfaces such as the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom are clean, not everything is sparkling clean.
If you are looking for a place for peace and quiet and surroundings, you are in the right place. However, the stay / cottage leaves much to be desired. We have read and understand previous comments. No, it's not a new home, Yes, it deserves the necessary maintenance, windows that don't lock, the entrance door warped by the sun, overdue paintwork, no vacuum cleaner. It is a house that literally lives. You can hear the roof through heat and cold. Plumbing was good. Wifi has its limits. An Ethernet cable for the TV would be a godsend. DVD "s amply available. Kitchen is sufficiently equipped. Because there is something unclear in the description, No pads, but just a coffee filter machine, fine for us. View and surroundings are beautiful. The price / quality is therefore appropriate for us .
Despite the weather that was not always good, we were able to make it a nice week for the 2 of us. We walked in the area of Gesves itself and in Mozet. This last walk was certainly worth the effort. During a beautiful car ride we discovered a gem of a castle in Crupet. Despite the pleasant stay in the bungalow, we do have some comments. The most important note is the smoke detector which was not hung. We found it in the closet. In terms of fire safety, this seems to us to be an indispensable (mandatory) element. We did report this to the owner on departure, who said he was aware of this and would make efforts to hang the smoke detector. The kitchen utensils were very basic (eg only 2 coffee cups, 1 with a piece off (where you can cut your lip), no beer glasses, wooden spoons that need to be replaced. The largest Tefal pan was so worn that it was no longer usable To be able to continue we only bought one ourselves. The placemats were dirty in the drawer and some of them even had mold. The kettle and the coffee machine seemed never cleaned, you just stuck to them. because for the rest he found it pleasant to stay in the bungalow. On the bedroom and bathroom there was in our opinion nothing to criticize.
The cottage was well located. In a quiet and green area, near beautiful hiking trails. With charming villages and restaurants nearby. As far as the house itself is concerned, we do have some comments. The cottage could use a makeover. It was not very clean. The mattress was so thin that you could feel the slatted base. Few kitchen utensils, so we bought a potato knife ourselves. The seat stunk. The furniture was either worn or broken. The pergola and small garden were pleasant with good weather and the chirping of the birds was a nice addition to your morning coffee. Mind you, you are here in a former holiday park, so the adjacent houses are also inhabited, but you will not be bothered by that. In case of rain, this house also has a video library worthy DVD collection with both romantic chick flicks and pulpy horror. Very appropriate for this 'cabin in the woods'. PS: the coffee maker is back with filters, not with pods.
