Altwarp is a small fishing village situated directly on the white beach of the Szczecin Lagoon, making it the most north-easterly fishing village in Germany. The calm water and the gently sloping shore are a paradise for children. Many cycle tours (with over 500 kilometres of cycle paths) or hiking trails are in the immediate vicinity and offer wonderful tours through forests and across fields. Embedded in the nature reserve with its inland dunes, the Szczecin Lagoon and the juniper, pine and oak forests, Altwarp is the most north-easterly fishing village in Germany. The bathing beach is located in the centre of the village and is ideal for children and non-swimmers due to its slowly deepening water. Explore the beautiful landscape on foot, by bike or take a few trips in your car. The more you experience on your holiday, the more you will have to tell afterwards. The variety on offer makes our accommodation attractive starting points for your possible activities. For your daily needs, there is a small supermarket in Altwarp with fresh bread rolls, an excellent range of meat and sausage products and everything else you need for your holiday. If you prefer to indulge yourself during your holiday, the "Haffstübchen" invites you to enjoy great fish and meat dishes or coffee, cake and ice cream in a maritime ambience from midday onwards. If you are interested in the history of our small village, you can find out more in the Altwarp local history centre. Countless excursion destinations, smaller villages and a wide range of restaurants will accompany you on your explorations. But the main reason for travelling here is the peace and relaxation. Treat yourself to some time out and take a deep breath! Simply take a break from everyday life - take some time for yourself. The nearest larger town is Ueckermünde, approx. 15 km away, with many shopping facilities, a beautiful old town, the harbour, the Haffmuseum and numerous cultural events. There is also a train and bus connection to Altwarp. Boat trips from Ueckermünde harbour to Neuwarp, Szczecin and Swinoujscie are an experience. You can also hire small boats from here and paddle up and down the Uecker. Other attractions in the region include the botanical garden in Christiansberg, the zoo in Ueckermünde and Ukranenland in Torgelow. And for the very active, there is a sports centre in Eggesin with a wide range of opportunities for sporting activities. Day trips to Anklam (e.g. Lilienthal Museum), Stralsund (e.g. Oceanographic Museum), Peenemünde (e.g. Submarine Museum) or the island of Usedom (e.g. sunflower labyrinth, huge bathing beaches) are also recommended. In the garden, which is also fenced, there is a barbecue with a fireplace. From the terrace and also from the balcony you can see the small lagoon. The holiday flat is located on the upper floor, from where the view of the water is overwhelming. The flat has a size of 65 square metres. In the living room there is a sofa bed with a dining table and a flat screen TV. In the living room there is also a fitted kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, cooker, sink, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and crockery for 6 people. The bedroom is at the end of the flat. There is a double bed with two bedside tables. Wardrobes are also available. In the bathroom there is a WC, a shower, a washbasin, a mirror cabinet, a washing machine and the best is yet to come, a whirlpool bath for romantic hours for two. As you can see, you can experience a lot with us and if you just want to enjoy the evening after an eventful day, then do so with the fantastic sunsets directly on the water.
