Sunny Watermill with Heated Pool
Description
This old, very picturesque water mill is situated in an open and sunny valley on a small river. It has been restored and fully modernised. Situated in the Midi-Pyrenees in an unspoilt, beautifully rolling region, largely unknown to tourists, but loved by connoisseurs. Sandwiched between the Lot and the Cathar country of the Languedoc.
There are beautiful old villages with medieval castles and pilgrimage routes. You can walk from the mill to various villages in the area - possible walks are indicated in the house. Every Thursday there is a market in Villefranche. Children can also play in the heated swimming pool, in the large attic or in the garden. You can close off the access to the garden and to the river for the little ones. In the barn you will find an original bread oven: ideal for pizza.
There is a covered terrace by the swimming pool. On the shady outdoor terrace we recently added a large outdoor kitchen for the sultry summer evenings. The mill consists of an older east wing with on the bel-étage the living room with fireplace and visible oak beams; the kitchen, above that the mezzanine. The younger west wing contains on the ground floor a large studio, and above that two bedrooms, the bathroom and the toilet. Above the living room is a gallery, a vide with a double bed. Wifi is available but does not always work properly due to poor reception in the valley. The mill is located at the very end of the valley of the Route du Moulin du Bousquet, in the tiny hamlet of Le Bousquet in Brandonnet.

Unique place to completely unwind. Everything you could wish for!
Extremely quiet holiday resort - la France, la détente en nature, child-friendly
A true idyll. The house is beautifully equipped, both in terms of kitchen utensils and practical information for all kinds of excursions (mapped walks, travel guides, ...). Upon arrival, all the necessary information is ready, after which an unforgettable stay in the characterful mill (not to mention: the beautiful large garden with heated swimming pool!) can begin. As far as we are concerned, there is only one caveat: the poor internet connection. Due to its location deep in the valley, 4G hardly works, so you can't get there with your own roaming. And the WiFi connection is not sufficient to keep in touch with the outside world. Nevertheless, the house has enough to offer to compensate for this!

Old watermill in a quiet green area. The garden is the absolute eye-catcher, with swimming pool and pleasant terrace.
Great house, large garden, lovely heated pool, nice loungers, fine wood stove inside for the evening, very spacious kitchen equipment (only the small spoons must be completed, there are only 4), good beds (bed on the vide not used, this space looked tight and low), lots of privacy, on dead end road (nearest supermarket is 20 minutes drive), fresh figs and apples from the garden.
