The idyllic Bodetal, the cities of Quedlinburg and Wernigerode or the Hexentanzplatz in Thale can be reached quickly. Other excursion destinations include: the narrow-gauge railway to the Brocken, Rübeland stalactite caves, Aschersleben Zoo or, in the immediate vicinity, the unique rock formation of the Gegensteine.
