Steenwijk is located in the head of Overijssel. On the wet westside this picturesque town borders on the water region of Giethoorn and the Weerribben.
On the dry eastside you will find the nature areas De Woldberg and De Eese. In this area of 1500 ha. you will see forests, heaths, fields, charming farmhouses and a real small castle. You will find two cottages in this fabulous region: De Arendshorst and De Valkenhorst.
De Valkenhorst is a very comfortable bungalow with 5 bedrooms that sleep 3 persons each. There is a large bathroom with bath, shower, wash basin and toilet and a second bathroom with shower and wash basin. De Valkenhorst is spacious and offers a large hall and a spacious living room. There is also a 25m veranda. This cottage also offers a sunny and sheltered terrace. This house is ideal for family celebrations. This house is often rented in combination with the six-person bungalow located between "De Arendshorst" and "De Valkenhorst".
For groups with a different composition than family, a deposit of 1000 euros is requested.

Beautiful house in the woods on the edge of the park. Enough space for 16 people. The park staff is friendly and very customer oriented.
Al met al een zeer aangenaam verblijf, Alles was schoon en de voorzieningen waren meer dan voldoende voor onze behoeften, De locatie is ideaal voor het verkennen van de natuurgebieden in de buurt, Als je op zoek bent naar een comfortabele en privé ontsnapping, is dit een geweldige keuze!
Deze cottage is een pareltje! Het was heerlijk rustig en we voelden ons helemaal thuis, De slaapkamers waren comfortabel en de keuken had alles wat we nodig hadden, Een korte rit naar Giethoorn voor prachtige uitzichten en boottochten, We komen zeker terug!
Deze plek is fantastisch! De rust van de bosomgeving maakte onze tijd hier echt bijzonder, De Valkenhorst had alles wat we nodig hadden, en de nabijgelegen restaurants waren een leuke aanvulling, Perfect voor gezinnen of groepen die willen ontsnappen aan de drukte
We had a fantastic stay at De Valkenhorst! The spacious living area was perfect for our family gatherings, and the surrounding forest made for lovely morning walks, The kids loved the outdoor play equipment, and we appreciated the privacy of the location, Highly recommend for families looking for a quiet getaway
