Saanan Lumous is located in the enchanting village of Kilpisjärvi, surrounded by clear fell lakes and Finland's largest fells. The most famous of these is the majestic Saana, at the foot of which the village is situated. Saanan Lumous is a warm and well-equipped cabin. The large windows of this stunning cabin offer expansive views of the fells and Ala-Kilpisjärvi, which can be admired by the warmth of the fireplace. The windows are heated to remain clear even in the harshest winter weather. Located 430 km northwest of Rovaniemi and 170 km from the center of Enontekiö, the cabin is 90 m from the shore of Ala-Kilpisjärvi, with no private shore access. A cabin road runs between the shore and the cabin. This wooden cabin, completed in 2022, includes a combined kitchen/living room, a bedroom with two separate motorized beds and a 50" TV, another bedroom with a bunk bed, a sauna, a bathroom/WC, a covered terrace, and a small storage room. Note: There is a charging station for electric and hybrid cars, which must be booked in advance (select electric car charging and specify how many times charging is needed during the stay). Charging is available from 10 PM to 10 AM, at a cost of 26 euros per charge. For an additional fee, extra towels can be included in the linen set. During the summer season (starting May 2023), two bicycles (one fatbike) are available for guests, which can be arranged separately with the owner (contact details are in the booking confirmation). The bicycles are shared with another cabin (16755 Saanan Helm). Bringing a hot tub to the cabin yard is prohibited. Surveillance cameras monitor the yard and cabin, but they are only active when there are no guests at the cabin.
