Description
Scenic Snowdonia Coastal Cabin
Some cottages have a view. This one has four floors of them, estuary water catching the light from nearly every window, in a characterful home built for savouring the scenery slowly, one floor at a time.
Three bedrooms sleep up to six, two doubles and a bunk room perfect for children, with the top-floor bedroom claiming the best of the estuary views for waking up to. The main sitting room, one floor below, shares that same sweeping outlook, an easy spot to settle in with a book or a glass of wine. The kitchen diner is fully equipped and finished with charming coastal touches that echo the setting outside, while a modern family bathroom and gas-fired central heating keep things comfortable throughout. A washing machine in the outhouse is on hand for longer stays.
Outside, the rear garden is the real showstopper, carefully designed around uninterrupted views over the water. A timber summerhouse offers its own quiet hideaway, complete with its own Wi-Fi and heating, so summer evenings can run on well past dusk. One reserved parking space is available in the local car park, a short walk from the cottage.
Fowey itself is a proper Cornish harbour town, its historic streets, waterside pubs and fresh seafood giving it a maritime charm that's hard to rush through. Coastal walks and sailing fill the days for anyone drawn to the water, while the town's quieter corners reward those happy to wander without a plan. This is Cornwall exactly as it should be, unhurried and genuinely lovely.
