Skiing to the chalet: In good conditions, you can ski downhill along the track to the chalet (no marked or groomed piste; at your own risk). Distance to the centre of Les Collons ~750 m on the road or 400 m on foot (non-paved path). The versatile ski and holiday resort of Les Collons has various shops, Valais restaurants, après-ski pubs, ATM, post office, ski hire and several ski schools. About 150 metres away is the modern thermal spa "Les Grands Bains d'Hérémence" with extensive wellness facilities, such as an infinity pool, indoor pool with 5 jacuzzis, 4 saunas, large hammam, 3 sensory caves and experience showers. In the neighbouring village of Héremence, there are centuries-old wooden farmhouses and typical hay barns on stilts. The swimming lake Les Iles in the Rhone Valley is approx. 20 km away. A stroll through the narrow streets of the historic old town of Sion - 18 km - the capital of Valais, and a boat trip on the underground lake of St-Léonard are well worthwhile.
