The village of Trauchgau is located in the centre of the famous and romantic Königswinkel - the home of Ludwig II's fairytale castles. The Ostallgäu region is characterised by imposing mountains, green meadows and several lakes. The house is situated at the end of the village of Trauchgau in a quiet, rural location surrounded by meadows and with a view of the Trauchgau mountains. From the flat you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the mountains. The holiday flat is on the ground floor. The tiled stove provides a cosy ambience. Spend the sunny hours of the day on your own terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. You also have your own garden at your disposal.
Countless leisure and sports opportunities, above all hiking, cycling, skiing and cross-country skiing, ensure a varied holiday here. A variety of excursion destinations in the surrounding area leave nothing to be desired. Neuschwanstein Castle is certainly a highlight. Excursions to neighbouring Austria are also possible.

Absolutely recommendable! In January 2022 I spent three weeks with my dog in the holiday apartment in Trauchgau. The apartment is furnished with great attention to detail. The living room is very cozy. The tiled stove is very easy to fire up. For me, the heating in all rooms was sufficiently warm, so I only used it from time to time. The small kitchen is perfectly equipped. The bedroom is large and sunny with lots of storage space. The bathroom is very sunny and, like the separate toilet, has a window. The terrace is covered and can be used for example for a coffee break on sunny days in winter. The apartment is on the edge of the small town and is the ideal starting point for walks or hikes. The paths are very well signposted, so you can find your way around quickly. A car is required as there are few shops in town. Very close by are the royal castles, beautiful lakes, vast plains with small hills and streams. In the distance, the higher mountains provide a spectacular backdrop. The landlady is extremely friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable and would very much like to come back.

Very nice apartment, well maintained and in a beautiful location on the outskirts of the village. Owner is very friendly and helpful.Wij have a very nice holiday and for us certainly a reason, to go back to this house again. What we will definitely do again.
Good arrival in beautiful surroundings. The cottage was cozy and warm. Beautiful bedroom with private terrace, where we have been sitting in the sun. The hostess was very friendly.
What a beautiful cottage with nice garden. Not very big, but provided everything. Of course the 3 castles viewed from Ludwig ll, but that could be better off the holiday season. Very busy with long queues. Castle Linderhof is the most beautiful and quietest. Beautiful surroundings with mountains, lakes, forests. Owner was very friendly, cottage was very clean.
