Activities nearby: If you don't want to go all the way to Berlin to shop, you can do so at the huge Berlin Outlet Center in Wustermark. Here you'll find a wide selection of designer brands at discounted prices. Those who prefer peace and nature should definitely take a detour to the Düberitzer Heide natural landscape. In 2004, the Heinz Sielmann Foundation acquired approximately 3,500 hectares, and has since expanded through subsequent purchases. Around 5,000 largely endangered animal and plant species, such as the white-tailed eagle and otter, call this area home. From a high-altitude trail near Elstal, you can easily observe the three major wild species: the European bison, Przewalski's horse, and red deer. The animal and leisure park in Germendorf is all about fun, games, and excitement: adventure playgrounds, minibikes, bumper cars, a fairytale train, and a children's playhouse are sure to bring smiles to many a child's face.
