The cottage is a beautiful cottage, but faded glory. The dishwasher was broken and could no longer be made in our holiday week. Also, many things are not finished, such as skirting boards that are missing in various places. The garden can also be taken care of. The grass was very high and construction was still going on. This was therefore not suitable for our grandson and the dog to play. The cottage is offered with a garage, but you can't get in there, because construction work is taking place. The cottage was also not really clean. There were cobwebs everywhere and the food from the previous visitors was still in the fridge. You can also see on the ceiling that there has been water damage, the paint is just peeling off. It's also strange that you don't see anyone for the key, you have to look for it as a kind of escape room at the gate and the garden. Normandy is a very beautiful region and we will definitely come back there, but then we will choose another accommodation!
The house is very nicely decorated, the bedding comfortable, but was very cold when we arrived. The heating could be put on after the cleaning. It was arranged within 24 hours. (with the open fire) A child"s bed was not prepared (the reservation nevertheless specified the number of adults and children) A few problems with the limited number of saucepans and 1 not suitable for the induction hob as well as "1 frying pan (sometimes complicated for meals for 10 people) 3 wine glasses: few for 7 adults, 1 percolator would be more suitable for the number of people than a simple pod machine. Some additional information for example on the handling of the oven, 1 bakery address... would be useful.
We were able to clean the house ourselves on arrival, so we do not want to pay for this either. The floor of the toilet was still dirty with wet over and it was clean. Fingers were still on the kitchen cabinets, the floors were dirty, we have photos. Fortunately, we can put that behind us and still enjoy our holiday
Very nice, well-equipped family home. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Close to all amenities but just far enough from the noise and bustle. The right compromise for our family.
