Villa 8 pers piscine
Holiday Home in Martigny-le-Comte with pool
Description
Enjoy privacy and the (heated) swimming pool during your holiday in this imposing 1892 holiday home. The castle is located behind the house and the countess still lives there. What a beautiful place!
You can walk to the bakery, which also serves as a mini market, in a few minutes. Moreover, there are plenty of beautiful walking routes that lead you through the beautiful region from the village square. Fancy some Burgundian food? Take a trip to the vineyards of Mâcon or to Beaune and the Route des Grands Crus to taste the best wines and visit great restaurants, including 2 Michelin-starred ones within a 20 km radius. Or buy fresh local produce at one of the markets in the area and enjoy a barbecue evening at the cottage.
Enjoy fresh croissants and baguettes on the terrace under the trees. This mansion was once part of the Château de Martigny. The house has a typical French atmosphere and is ideal for 2 families. It is located among the hills in the quiet village of Martigny le Comte. The swimming pool with roller shutter and swimming ladder (9 m x 4 m, 1.5 m deep) is open when the weather permits. In cold years, the pool may take a little longer to open.

The house is in a quiet location; We were not bothered by church bells, traffic or the nearby school. The view from the garden/pool is beautiful. The pool and renovated downstairs bathroom are excellent. For the rest, the house and the outdoor area (except for the swimming pool) make a messy, to very messy impression. The living areas, kitchen and bedrooms are in urgent need of a makeover. Clutter (including handy stuff in the hall, old outdoor chairs and a broken table in the garden) has not been cleaned up by the landlord and the bbq is unusable due to old age. Furthermore, there are too many private items of the landlord present (in the kitchen, bathroom and cupboards, for example) so that there is sometimes not enough space for your own items.
We had good expectations, which the pool certainly met. But the house was substandard in many respects: stuffy smell, messy, bad beds, noisy. Very (too) concise information at the reception. What is not made clear on the website is the bustle of the road, the school, the church bells nearby. We left a few days early. Not the level of Belvilla.
Well arrived key was ready house was perfect everything present Dutch channels on TV environment quiet but this was good for us tasty baguette in the bakery 5 min from home
The holiday home in Martigny Le Compte is located in a small quiet village, a beautiful green wooded region. The house, with many authentic elements, offers every comfort. You can dine outside under a large tree. We enjoyed the refreshment and relaxation in the slightly higher pool. There are 4 comfortable lounge chairs and large parasols. The welcome was friendly. We received sufficient explanation and if we had any questions or problems, we could always contact the "reception couple" (fr.). Those who enjoy walking and / or cycling will certainly enjoy themselves. In the area there are many picturesque villages / towns such as Charolles, Cluny, Pouilly (known for its wines, the rock of Solutré -> worth climbing) ... Since it is a wine region you regularly come across a winery with tasting options. In the neighborhood there are castle ruins (including in the medieval village of Brancion), interesting castles surrounded by extensive parks such as Digoine, Cormatin, ... and abbeys (including Tournus) to visit. Alles vlot verlopen
After a smooth journey, the key CFM appointment was ready and we soon lay in a beautiful swimming pool. Environment is somewhat bare and empty.
