On the road to Leccia, a fork to the left leads to the site of 'Aque populoniae', an important 3rd-century Etruscan-Roman spa town. Excavations of the largest sacred Etruscan and Roman thermal complex in the world are underway. Only 12 km away, in the municipality of Sasso Pisano, you can regenerate in the thermal waters of Biolago. This is a bathing complex designed for relaxation and personal well-being. It consists of a caldarium with water at 36 degrees and hydromassage, a tepidarium and a photo-purified lake at room temperature.
