The Gerolstein forest holiday park consists of a camping area and a bungalow park. This way you can combine the coziness of the campsite with the comfort of a holiday home.
You can choose between two types. The wooden chalet (DE-54568-40) is suitable for four people. It has two bedrooms, a seating area and a comfortable kitchen. Here you cook with gas. The stone bungalow (DE-54568-39) is suitable for six people. It has three bedrooms. Here you cook with electricity. Both the wooden chalets and the bungalows are neatly furnished and on one level. Both have their own small terrace with garden furniture.
Wifi is only available around the main building and costs €2.50/night.

The booking was with Belvilla. When we arrived at the park we still had to pay € 140.00 for all kinds of things. Belvilla had not reported that. Still a significant amount. The cottage was austere. The park was otherwise fine.
House is in a nice area. The house is also very spacious. Unfortunately it was not really clean. The reception was not very friendly which can also be said about the departure. You would at least expect the question whether things were to your liking, but unfortunately. When I asked where we could leave the waste, they asked if we hadn't been given a map. Not really friendly.
Nice clean park, house was fine. Family and dog have recovered well. The team at the holiday park responded to our requests quickly and to our complete satisfaction. We will come back!
Environment is highly recommended. Accommodation was not great, outside table top was missing, we were not advised of this and no replacement was provided. Bathroom was rusty and dirty. The food in the restaurant was very good.
There is absolutely nothing modern about this house anymore. My partner called it "old cheap junk" and I can only agree. Maintenance very moderate to even bad here and there. For furnishing I would even say; "A put together (and often cheap) worn-out mess". I would urgently advise the owner to put in a major modernization Tips: 2 bed (Not all 80 + "ers who come here) and good non-creaky beds, modernize shower, make furniture in the living room more pleasant (you want to relax after all) can sit with 6!! people), freshen things up with modern nice furniture, nice new lighting, fresh colors and renewed (roller) curtains), finish and eliminate pipes and finally repair the broken things. No, because almost everything is there, except the promised freezer and dishwasher. Everything works reasonably well. Everything was, as far as possible, sufficiently clean. Shower and hot water top. Heating not used, but radiators in abundance. Stove OK Wifi OK.We are therefore disturbed by the quality-price ratio that is completely out of sync here in our opinion.Flauwekul, as well-paid dog tax, etc, etc are added on top.Almost 1,000 euros for 10 nac hten in the late season makes no sense for this house. With pain and effort we squeeze out another "reasonable" because it is a beautiful location (you dive straight into the forest) in a beautiful natural environment. We quickly put the quality of the hut aside and spent a lot of time on it and we didn't lack anything. Would I recommend this property: Not now, but there was potential to make it really beautiful.
the park is very nice, but because my partner has difficulty walking, we had to rely on day trips by car. we were disappointed that the restaurant was only open during the weekend; we didn't want to cook for ourselves.
