The castle is mainly known from Shakespeare's play about Hamlet. Other exciting excursions could be a trip to the art museum Louisiana in Humlebæk, Karen Blixen's house, Rungstedlund or a few hours in canoe on the Mølleå (stream) and the lakes surrounding it.
