The historic "Forsthaus am Brocken" (Brocken Forest Lodge) from the 19th century was extensively renovated a few years ago into comfortable holiday apartments. The holiday home is located in the Ilse Valley, in the heart of the pristine Harz Forest, beside the wild mountain stream "Ilse." The most scenic ascent to the Brocken mountain, as well as other hiking trails into the Harz National Park, pass right by the house. The one-bedroom apartment accommodates two people and features a living area with a sofa and flat-screen TV, a solid wood kitchen and dining table, a bathroom with shower/toilet, and a terrace with views of the Harz Mountains' natural beauty.
