A short distance away is Vargaslätten, a large privately owned nature garden with museum, plant sales and guided tours. Nearby is also Danske fall, with a fall distance of 36m, so bring a backpack and hiking boots. This is one of Halland's most visited nature reserves. Simlångsdalen's community has both shops and restaurants. In lake Simlången there is a nice fishing and here you can rent both boat and canoe. Fishing licenses are valid. To Halmstad, which is a lovelysummer town and the sea, it is 18 km. For the shopping enthusiast, it is only 55 km to Europe's largest shopping paradise, Gekås in Ullared.
