In Svinsjön's Holiday Home area in the nature reserve Marvikarna is this cottage. Here you have hiking trails and several lakes and streams around the cottage corner. The cottage has plenty of space for a party of six people (4 adults, 2 children as the bunkbed is shorter than usual), with two separate bedrooms and a guest cottage with a double bed. A living room with a large and cozy sofa where you can relax in front of the TV. The bathroom is equipped with shower/ wc and also a washing machine. At the front of the cottage in the best sun position there is a large terrace with space for both dining table and sun loungers. You have around 4,000 meters down to Marviken. No motorized boats are allowed on the lakes within the nature reserve, which makes the lake area very idyllic and peaceful. The famous canoe trail between Lake Mälaren and Vagnhärad passes through the reserves and canoes can be rented in, for example, Åkers Styckebruk. Fishing is allowed, but fishing licenses are required. The area actually consists of two nature reserves, Krampan and Marvikarna. For visitors interested in birds, geology, ancient monuments and flora, there is plenty to see. Hiking-friendly forest roads and paths are located adjacent to both Svinsjön and Körnstorp holiday home areas. You can connect to Sörmanlandsleden where one of the stages passes between Marviken on the way to Skottvångs mine. To Mariefred it is about 13 km and there is everything for the shopping enthusiast and is a perfect excursion destination with its beautiful old wooden buildings, Mariefred is classified as one of the country's best preserved wooden cities.

Great location for nature lovers! The hiking trails around the cottage were fantastic, and we even spotted some beautiful birds, The place was clean and well-maintained, making our stay very comfortable,
Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in het vakantiehuis in Mariefred! Het huis was groot genoeg voor ons gezin van zes en de gezellige woonkamer was perfect om te ontspannen na een dagje de prachtige natuur om ons heen te hebben verkend. We genoten van onze ochtenden op het terras, genietend van de zon en een kopje koffie. Het feit dat er geen gemotoriseerde boten waren op de nabijgelegen meren versterkte de vredige sfeer. De wandelpaden waren een genot en we huurden zelfs kano's in de buurt voor een leuk dagje uit. Een echte aanrader voor een familievakantie!
Dit vakantiehuis was precies hvad we nodig hadden voor een ontspannen uitje, De tuin was prachtig en voegde een leuk accent toe aan onze avonden, De kinderen genoten van de stapelbedden, en wij waardeerden wasmaskinen efter en dag med utforskning av de nærliggende innsjøene, Alt i alt et praktisk og komfortabelt opphold,
Ik kan niet genoeg goede dingen zeggen over onze ervaring! Het huisje was prachtig ingericht en voelde erg welkom, De gastheren waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam, We hielden van de nabijheid van Marviken voor kanoën en vissen - zo'n serene plek, Zeer aan te bevelen voor gezinnen!
De locatie is werkelijk idyllisch, en het huisje is zeer comfortabel, We waardeerden de gratis WiFi, die de kinderen bezig hield tijdens de rustmomenten, De nabijgelegen meren waren perfect voor een rustige middag, We zouden hier zeker weer verblijven als we terugkomen naar Zweden!
We had a great stay at this holiday home, The cottage was clean and had all the essentials we needed, like a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy living room to chill after a day of hiking, The location is just beautiful, surrounded by nature and so peaceful, We even spotted some birds while relaxing on the patio, Just a heads up, the WiFi was a bit slow, but honestly, who needs it when you’ve got such a lovely view? Would definitely recommend for a chill escape with friends or family!
