Holiday home with 4 bedrooms
From the two adjacent barns, we created a 150-square-meter second apartment. Wherever possible, we preserved the exposed stone walls, giving this apartment a special warmth year-round.
In earlier times, one of the barns had a mezzanine. We reinstated this mezzanine, creating space for the second bedroom, which is located directly above the current living room. A local blacksmith crafted a 4-meter-high steel and glass door for us, separating the living room from the terrace.
We also preserved, wherever possible, the features that tell the story of the buildings' past. Where grapes were once pressed, there is now a bathroom. But the two pipes leading to the master bedroom are still there. This is where the grape juice was stored.
