The holiday home is located directly in the small village of Sankt Margarethen im Lungau, an attractive and sunny mountain village in the heart of the Salzburgerland. The village is also known as the "valley town" of the top ski area Katschberg/Aineck and offers a fine selection of restaurants, shops and everyday amenities. Everything for a relaxing stay is within easy reach.
In winter, Katschberg/Aineck is the shining centre. This popular ski resort offers 80 km of varied slopes and high snow safety thanks to its location between 1,170 and 2,220 meters. Those looking for even more skiing fun should not miss the surrounding ski areas of Grosseck-Speiereck, Fanningberg and Obertauern - together accounting for around 250 additional km of pistes.

Once the snow melts, Sankt Margarethen turns into an ideal starting point for hikes, mountain bike tours and day trips through the beautiful Salzburg Lungau region. The region boasts some 60 picturesque mountain lakes, including the beloved Prebersee and Schlierersee. For relaxation and water fun, there are several swimming options such as the local bathing lake, several open-air swimming pools in the surrounding area and the leisure pool BadeInsel in Tamsweg. Golf enthusiasts can go to the nearby Lungau/Katschberg golf club. Within 30-45 minutes you can also be on the shores of the wellknown Carinthian lakes such as the Millstätter See, Afritzer See and Weissensee - perfect for a refreshing dip or a day in the sun!
