Description
The Ancienne Gendarmerie is in a quiet side street, approx. 100 metres from the Atlantic so that you have a marvellous view over the sea and the Ile de Groix from your rooms. Le Pouldu invites you to swim and take long walks on the cliff paths. The surrounding countryside is densely wooded and there are 5 different sandy bays within walking distance. Just follow the roar of the sea to the beach!
Shopping facilities (for bread, vegetables, groceries and foreign newspapers) are approx. 2 minutes walk from the house (only open in the peak season). Outside the season there is a bakery and a grocery shop 1 km away. There are other shops and supermarkets in nearby villages and towns. It is possible to buy freshly caught fish and seafood in the small romantic port of Doelan.
Locally there is a pancake bar, restaurants, a pizzeria and cafés. A very good fish restaurant in the port of Le Pouldu is highly recommended (some catering establishments are only open in the peak season).

The location is very good. The apartment was clean. Unfortunately, everything is a bit run down. A room door could not be closed because the wood warped. It was possible to use the ceramic hob, but the opposite plates got hot. The grease filter of the circulating air extractor has not been changed for a long time. The apartment does not have a vacuum cleaner. A hand mixer would also be nice. Thankfully, the defective dishwasher was replaced with a new one after six days, and the defective washing machine was repaired after six days. Plates and cutlery were available, but only three wine glasses. There was no lid for small pots. In the end, the toilet flush was defective. The door to the bike shed was also broken from the start. All in all, annoying for €167 a day.
Arrival as planned. The accommodation is in keeping with what is presented.The environment is ideal with the proximity of the ocean and coastal paths.
Good reception, accommodation is spacious and in a nice location, however, the interior is quite dated and cleaning could also be better. View is very nice and the bakery is on the corner.
We were very happy with our house / apartment. Super location, everything nice. We would like to come back next year. Everything is said with that. We had a top week.

Nice and quiet location, perfect for a relaxing vacation, The kids loved the water park on-site, and we enjoyed the local dining options, The pancakes at the nearby bar were delicious!
