Description
Nestled in a magical woodland clearing in the heart of southern England, this unique glamp site is ideally situated halfway between London and Bath. Set on 10 acres of private, ancient woodland near Newbury, the charming pod sleeps 2 adults in a double bed and 2 children on fold-out Z-beds. It offers a peaceful base to explore the area or relax in nature. Guests have full access to the woodland, where children can build camps, enjoy the tyre swing, and gather fallen wood for fire pits.
The pod features an outside decked seating area, private toilet, piping hot shower, and sink. Inside, it has electricity, heating, and a fridge, along with an outside cooking station equipped with a gas stove, BBQ, crockery, cutlery, pans, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bottled water, kettle, and toaster. All bedding and towels are provided. Nearby, there’s a communal undercover seating area and a large brick firepit.
The nearby village of Woolton Hill has shops, a post office, three pubs within walking distance, and a monthly market. Attractions around Newbury include Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey), the 4 Kingdoms Adventure Farm Park, The Chase nature reserve, Newbury Racecourse, museums, and canal boat trips to Hungerford. Scenic walks and cycling trails surround the site, offering plenty of outdoor activities without the need to drive.
Please note that free-roaming birds and dogs may approach your accommodation. Guests should bring their own wood, charcoal, and tea lights.
