The Mönchgut peninsula is a holidaymaker's paradise of special charm and surprising versatility. Our Finnhütte "Carolin" is located in the south-east Rügen biosphere reserve on the beautiful Mönchgut peninsula. In the immediate vicinity are the two small fishing villages of Gager and Groß Zicker - here you will also find cosy restaurants. You can buy groceries in Thiessow or Gager, and in summer bread rolls are available locally. The kilometre-long idyllic sandy beach is just a 3-minute walk away. The surfers' paradise is only about 10 minutes away by bike. Pine forests, wide hills and meadows, idyllic lake and Bodden landscapes and dreamy fishing villages nestled in them invite you to go on extensive hikes and cycle tours. The free car park is located within the complex. Our Finnhütte "Carolin" can be booked from April to October. Arrival and departure days count as one day. The place name comes from the Slavic "Sikor" and means "titmouse".
