This cozy and charming apartment is located, along with three others, in a large estate with two completely restored houses. The apartment is air-conditioned, tastefully decorated and finished with distinctive details. The estate, of about 40 hectares, houses a lake, surrounded by woods, large enough for fishing, and an example of architecture of the Roman period. Together with the occupants of the other apartments, you will have access to a large swimming pool with children’s pool area, outdoor shower, playground, small playground and a patio with seating. The outdoor garden adjacent to the pool is divided into private areas each with its own sunbeds and umbrellas.
The apartment is located just 3 kilometers from the village of Foiano della Chiana, where you can do your daily shopping, have a good meal and find the train station. Cortona, about 20 kilometers away, is really worth a visit. This city is situated on top of a hill and is one of the oldest cities in Italy - it is truly amazing. For shopaholics, there are outlet shops in Foiano della Chiana, 9 kilometers from the house.
Lake Trasimeno is 25 km away and is worth a visit. In addition, cities like Arezzo (30 km), Siena (50 km) and Perugia (65 km) are highly recommended for a fun day out.

We (2 couples and a child) had a great stay in Foiano Della Chiana. We felt very comfortable and received a very nice welcome. The apartment (Castagno del Riccio) is very spacious, clean and well equipped (very good kitchen equipment, lots of dishes, dishcloths, separate bath towels for the pool, etc.). As a welcome we got a bottle of wine and olive oil. During our stay we were given a large tray with delicious biscuits and on another day two trays with an excellent homemade pizza. Guests can also help themselves in the vegetable garden behind the house. A donkey, a few chickens, lots of cats and a dog live there, and the pool is particularly beautiful. Each apartment has its own area on the meadow. The water was extremely clear, fresh and clean. The location of the holiday home was also ideal for reaching many beautiful destinations in Tuscany (e.g. Florence, Siena, Pienza, Arezzo, Cortona, Bagni San Filippo, Montepulciano, Perugia and many more) In short: everything was perfect! Thank you very much again to the hosts!
mooi ruim appartement
We have been received very friendly. We were enormously delayed en route but the owner picked us up at 11.30 pm at the highway and brought us to the house. Home-made wine was waiting for us there. The stay was very pleasant. We were surprised three times with home-made cake or cookies. Nice pool and accommodation. Small scale appealed to us a lot. Nice base for Pienza, Montpulciano, Sienna and Florence.
Very friendly reception by the owner and family members. The accommodation was neat and nicely situated on the estate. Beautiful surroundings with beautiful villages in the neighborhood, also the larger cities such as Siena are easy to visit (by car or train) from this location.

Upon arrival lovely bottle of house wine with olive oil, very hospitable, nice clean house and nice and cool despite the heat outside. Nice clean pool. Nice area with nice places. During our stay several times surprised by the homeowner with a treat.
