The holiday apartment on a slope without through traffic offers optimal peace and quiet and a starting point for unforgettable walks, such as the Wiedblick tour and the Wiedtaler Höhenpfad. You can get to know the Westerwald-Steig on a day hike and benefit from the advantages of a circuit. The comfortable holiday apartment measures around 85m² and is suitable for 2-4 persons. It has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom with two single beds, as well as a breakfast room with a convenient hatch through to the fully-equipped kitchen. In the central walk-through room (to the bedrooms and the breakfast room) there is a big sofa bed for two people. The large living room in the basement with a big panoramic window and terrace door can also be used as a reading and playing room, with books and board games provided for cosy evenings by the open fireplace. There is also satellite TV with an HD flat-screen. The kitchen is fully-equipped, including a fridge with an integrated freezer compartment, an oven with a ceramic hob, an extractor fan, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery and glasses. Big panoramic windows afford a wonderful view of the forested slopes of the Wiedtal opposite. The bathroom with light tiles has a washbasin, a walk-in shower and plenty of storage space. The WC is separate from the bathroom. The glass door in the living room provides direct access to the big open terrace with garden furniture and cushions. A large parasol provides shade. A charcoal grill is available. There is a parking space right on the detached site. Please note that the holiday house can only be accessed along a gravel track for the last 150 metres or so. A travel bed for small children and free Internet are available. Firewood can be provided for a fee. It is about 15-20 minutes on foot to Waldbreitbach with all kinds of shops (bakeries, cafes, an ice cream stall, supermarkets), pharmacies and restaurants. You can go on cycle tours of almost 100km along the Wied cycle path. The newly signposted path offers interesting views of and insights into wonderful nature. The neighbouring locality Hausen about 10 minutes away by car has a swimming pool with an outdoor pool and sauna (you can also walk there along the Wied Panoramaweg in about 35 minutes). Bad Hönningen and Linz, the colourful town by the Rhine, are about 20-25 minutes away by car, Koblenz and Bonn about 35 minutes. Cologne is only a 55-minute drive away, perfect for a day trip. Your accommodation is a perfect place to relax, but you can also enjoy a range of activities. A car is recommended.
