The small, tranquil town of Humptrup is located just before the Danish border near Süderlügum. The North Sea is only 20 kilometers away and you can also easily reach the island of Sylt on a day trip from here. Perhaps you would also like to take a tour across the border to our northern neighbor? For example, Tønder - or TØnder in Danish - is only 14 kilometers away

The historic house was once the painter's home, still has its original furnishings and now houses great exhibitions. Also worth seeing is the Nolde Garden, which is still the way the artist and his wife laid it out.
