It is located on a quiet mountain road, offers beautiful unobstructed views of the surrounding mountain landscape, and close to the Kreischberg ski resort. The chalet is located in Stadl an der Mur, a small municipality and popular holiday resort in the Murtal region in Styria. The Salzburgerland and also Carinthia are just around the corner, furthermore, a visit to the Turracher Höhe, the idyllic Alm-See plateau, is well worthwhile.

In the immediate vicinity (approx. 10 minutes by car) is the well-known Kreischberg family ski area, the most modern and snow-sure ski area in the region with 42 km of very wide and perfectly well prepared pistes. This makes carving and snowboarding really fun! Furthermore, this snow-sure area offers a cross-country trail at 1,500 metres! For those for whom this is still not enough skiing fun, there are the skiing areas of Lachtal, Grebenzen, Katschberg-Aineck and Turracher Höhe in the surrounding area. You can reach these ski resorts in about 30 minutes by car.

In summer, the "Freizeitanlage" on the outskirts of Stadl an der Mur 10 walking minutes from the chalet offers a 7,000 m² swimming lake with a separately located paddling pool and spacious sunbathing areas. The holiday region of Murau, also called the 'green heart of Styria', is rightly called Austria's hiking and cycling paradise, here you can enjoy countless kilometres of cycling and hiking routes in spring, summer and autumn. A visit to the therme AQUALUX in Fohnsdorf ensures pure relaxation all year round! The Murau region also offers several golf courses for a relaxing golf holiday, such as the Murau-Kreischberg Golf Club or the Grebenzen Golf Club.

About 2 km from the chalet you will find the centre of Stadl an der Mur, with several shops and restaurants. The town of Murau is about 15 km away and has a beautiful old centre, a great range of shops and a public and indoor swimming pool
