For the children, the swimming paradise Caluna, Ecomare and Shipwreck and Beachcombers Museum Flora are not far away. For horse lovers there are many equestrian routes through forest and dunes all over Texel. There are a number of riding stables in the immediate vicinity. The villages of De Koog (cozy terraces) and Den Burg (the shopping heart of Texel, with a very trendy Streetfood Bar) are only a few kilometers from the Kiekendief. We vonden de tuin geweldig en waren er helemaal weg van voor ons kopje koffie in de ochtend. Het buitenzwembad was een hit bij de kinderen en we hebben er veel tijd doorgebracht. De nabijgelegen stranden waren prachtig en dat maakte ons verblijf nog beter!
