Kaulavaara is a peaceful cabin area near the amenities of Äkäslompolo. The distance to the nearest lit ski trail is about 500 meters via the road, but only around 150 meters by a path starting just behind the apartment. The Äkäslompolo Frisbee golf course is less than a kilometer away. The apartment is equipped for children, including a travel cot, high chair, and safety gates at the top and bottom of the stairs. Next door is the Eki-Ylläs B apartment (15807), allowing larger groups to comfortably stay in adjacent apartments.
