The Elefantino flat is our smallest apartment. It owes its name to the elephant in the original coat of arms of the Fornace Del Conte, which is located in the historic vaulted ceiling of this flat. The one-bedroom flat is furnished with a queen-size bed (140x200cm), a charming cupboard kitchen and a small dining table, as well as a bathroom. The (saltwater) pool is right next door. Peace, pleasure, relaxation: that's what the "Fornace Del Conte" means to us. And that's exactly what we want to pass on to our guests - big and small, families, couples and solo travellers. Leave everyday life behind you. Enjoy with all your senses what our Tuscan idyll has to offer. In our over 300-year-old building, consisting of an old brickworks and a villa, we have built 4 apartments of different sizes and lovingly furnished them with antiques, new solid wood beds and comfortable bathrooms. The rich and healthy breakfast can be taken on request in our guest room under the domed ceilings or on the sunny terrace, as well as in the shady courtyard. In our large garden you will find peace and relaxation, e.g. at the 10 metre long saltwater pool with wooden terrace and magnificent view of Montepulciano, in the overgrown pergola or in the herb labyrinth among the vines. Excursion possibilities: The Fornace del Conte is ideally located for exploring southern Tuscany, northern Lazio and Umbria with their marvellous cultural treasures. The convenient location means that enchanting little towns such as Montepulciano, Lucignano, Pienza or Cortona are just as easy to reach as Orvieto, Perugia, Assisi or Siena, and even Florence is only 1.5 hours away and Rome just 2 hours.
