Description

Enjoy plenty of peace and privacy from this traditional farmhouse with no neighbours. The house with a rural location was renovated between 2010 and 2015 and it comfortably accommodates a family.
In the region surrounding the holiday home, you can enjoy hiking, for example through the nearby forest. A visit to the authentic Forteresse Médiévale de Yèvre-le-Châtel is also worthwhile.

The holiday home offers a nice view of the swimming pool and you can prepare your favourite dishes in the kitchen. The pool can be heated to 26 degrees in summer and you can start the day relaxed with a dip. There are 4 teak wood sun loungers equipped for relaxation. Enjoy the peace from the terrace, in the sun on deck chairs or in the shade under the parasol. Parking is allowed outdoors, not in the courtyard garden.

For safety reasons, families with young children are kindly requested to be mindful of the presence of the swimming pool and stream at the edge of the property. The house now has fiber internet with real stability.

Arrived and dazed from a long journey, we were warmly welcomed by the host and his wife. They had cleaned up the house before we arrived and then took a refreshing dip in the pool. After some explanation about the facilities, the hosts left us after half an hour with the message "see you in a week". And what a wonderful week it was. We enjoyed the heated pool and the surroundings (what a rest). In the morning it seemed as if an adult man was shouting in the beautiful vegetable garden behind the house, however, after further investigation, this turned out to be a fox that felt just a little too comfortable. the castle and the many churches not much to do and for a restaurant you unfortunately also just have to get in the car.So if you want to completely isolate yourself, this is a perfect location. I do not recommend this location.

A lovely house with wonderful garden where early evening or morning a deer with her calf dropped by every now and then. The pool was absolutely great, as were the sunbeds and the house itself. I would have liked to see a little more "basic" supplies for kitchen (salt, peper, oil, vinegar, herbs, tea, few cups coffee...). We arrived on Sunday afternoon, there was absolutely nothing in the house and on Sunday after 12.30 hr all shops in the area are closed. Take some basics with you when you plan to arrive on Sunday! Nice little village. If you"re looking for a very quiet and laid back holliday, this is where to go. The one real negative was the (lack of) WiFi connection. It just did not work 99% of the time we were there, which means no TV and no internet on phone via WiFi and that is, with 2 teenagers, not a very handy situation.

Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. A lovely quiet secluded cottage with a pool with a deep and shallow end. The interior of the house is also very nicely traditional, but it is equipped with, among other things, a dishwasher and washing machine. For the kids there is a table tennis table and football game. If I had to give 1 minus point, it is the double bed, which is short narrow and mattress is thin and saggy a bit

Very friendly welcome by the owners. Had a tour around the house, after which they left. You quickly get used to having your own swimming pool, what a wonderful thing. The garden is very large, with a babbling brook at the very back. And furthermore... it is quiet. Very very quiet. So you have to like that (we do). In the village itself there are no bars, cafes, terraces or shops, so you have to drive about 8 km to the bakery or supermarket (of which there are plenty in Pithiviers: E. Leclerc, Carrefour, Lidl and Aldi) . Lidl also has a power charger for those who drive electrically. The restaurant "Aux bon Vivres" in Yèvre-le-châtel is also highly recommended. Not open every day, check the website in advance. The Fort is nice to walk around and there is a remains of a church. And it was. We came for peace and quiet and we definitely found it. As for the house itself: Tidy and ready. Everything you need for a week's holiday is available. The kitchen cupboards and drawers could use some soapy water, and we took quite a few items (cutlery, glasses, bowls) out of the cupboard that were dirty on the first day. But, you turn on the dishwasher, grab your drink and your book by the pool, and it solves itself. This may have been due to the previous tenants, and is not representative of the rest of the house. The bed was new and we slept wonderfully! A bed in a house in France... can sometimes be disappointing, but this was a wonderful night's sleep on a new "Emma" mattress. All in all: if you like peace and quiet (and your own swimming pool), then this house is highly recommended. Finally: Google Maps makes you stop at the wrong house. Drive a little further (even if the street name changes).

Schoon en comfortabel! De bedden waren gezellig, en we waardeerden de privé badkamer, Het enige nadeel was dat de WiFi soms traag was, maar het verpestte ons verblijf niet,

Really enjoyed our time here, The kitchen was well-stocked, so we could cook meals instead of eating out all the time, Plus, the garden was beautiful, especially in the evenings!
