The La Cigogne gîte is located in the Baie des Veys, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes.
Near the landing beaches.
Around the 18th century residence, the marsh stretches as far as the eye can see, punctuated by 5 bell towers and, 40 meters away, a stork's nest on a perched tree.
On both sides of the Cotentin, the sea is 26 km to the west, 20 km to the east, depending on the time of day or the tides (3 hours difference between West and East) .
Village of Appeville, its 13th century Romanesque church, 1 km.

The main building with the holiday home on the side is a picture from the outside. The holiday home is an old building. The interior is simple and also old. The microwave, dishwasher, oven, kitchen and shower, it is all old and therefore somewhat dingy. It's not really dirty, but it is well used. The cottage was certainly not dirty but also not clean. The beds are hard and you have to like it or be able to stand it. There is no service outside of bed linen. You have to bring your own towels and you can bring your own waste to the village. The owner is friendly and discreet. Furthermore, it is very remote. That gives a lot of peace, but at the same time restaurants and a shop or bakery are not just a short walk away. We have used the residence as a base for visits to the famous WWII beaches and that was doable.

The key address given by belle villa is incorrect. The number must be 5. The owners of the accommodation were very friendly and cordial. From the region you could easily go to all kinds of nice cities, such as Bayeux. The property is 20 minutes from Utahbeach.
We were pleasantly surprised with this house. It is nicely furnished and is situated in a beautiful, peaceful and rural setting. You have a lot of privacy. The owner is very friendly and helpful and also speaks English. There is a lot to do in the area: Beach, WWII, markets, nice places.
