The twin resort of Tar-Vabriga has so far been spared from mass tourism, but still offers an excellent infrastructure with bars, restaurants, cafés and shopping facilities. Just 2.5 kilometres away is the peninsula of Lanterna with its many beautiful beaches. Tar-Vabriga is also an excellent starting point for exploring Istria. The coastal towns of Porec and Novigrad can be reached within 10 minutes by car. The Istrian hinterland with the artists' town of Groznjan or the historic mountain village of Motovun can also be reached quickly.
