Description
This spacious holiday home is located in the municipality of Friedrichshöhe. It consists of a semi-detached house and a granny flat in the basement. The two halves of the house can be easily connected to one another by means of a sliding wooden wall in the living area. For this reason, the house is ideal for a group or several families. You can spend your holiday together while also enjoying your own, private living area. Friedrichshöhe is located directly on the "Rennsteig" ridge trail within the Thuringian Forest, also known as the "Green Heart" because of its central location in Germany. The place was once the smallest community in the GDR and has now been turned into the "Thuringian Forest" nature park, therefore being spared from hotels and tourist facilities. Here you will find rest and relaxation in a fantastic, unique and natural environment. You can enjoy the stunning, almost unspoiled nature here in both summer and winter. Well-marked hiking trails are sure to excite any nature lover. Cyclists will also find a wide range of appealing routes, such as the Werra cycle path. In winter, well-groomed cross-country ski trails, groomed slopes, ski hiking trails and toboggan slopes round off the list of attractive activities. Excursions in the area include: Eisfeld Castle with museum, Veste Coburg, ruins of Schaumburg, Lauscha, Masserberg, Lichtenhain/mountain railway.

Dit vakantiehuis overtrof onze verwachtingen! De kamers waren ruim en prachtig ingericht, We maakten gebruik van de BBQ-grill in de tuin en genoten van maaltijden buiten, De locatie is handig voor zowel wandelen als wintersport, We kunnen niet wachten om terug te komen!
We hadden een fantastische tijd in dit vakantiehuis! Het was ruim genoeg voor onze groep, en de mogelijkheid om de twee helften van het huis te verbinden, maakte het perfect voor onze familie-reünie, De omliggende natuur was verbluffend, vooral de wandelpaden langs de Rennsteig, Sterk aanbevolen voor iedereen die even weg wil van alles!
Big win for the location! So quiet and peaceful, but still near cool spots like the Museum für Glaskunst, The host was lovely and made sure everything was on point, Overall, a solid stay
Gotta say, the garden is a whole mood, Perfect for BBQs and hanging out, Super close to hiking trails, and the kitchen has all the essentials for cooking up a storm, Insta-worthy spots everywhere
Endroit agréable et calme, Chambres propres, lits confortables et une bonne cuisine pour cuisiner, Le jardin était super pour que les enfants puissent courir, Juste un peu difficile à trouver au début, mais une fois que nous l'avons fait, ça en valait la peine
