If you don't want to go deep-sea fishing (from Dornumersiel, about eight kilometers), you can take a day trip to the island of Baltrum instead. Or you can go paddling on the Harketief, a small river nearby. On days with bad weather in northern Germany, a trip to the Sturmfrei indoor play park offers plenty of variety for families with children. Adults prefer the wellness oasis, which offers various saunas and relaxing massages.
