In the heart of Giethoorn, you will find this beautiful, renovated group home with a waterside terrace, a garden, a recreation room and a wheelchair-accessible ground floor. A unique place for a wonderful holiday with friends and/or family.
The holiday home has a great location, quiet on the water but still close to the bustling centre of Giethoorn. Giethoorn is also called the Venice of the North. It offers plenty of recreational opportunities for walking, cycling and, of course, boating. Giethoorn is elongated and consists of 3 neighbourhoods that are always staggered from each other. To the north is Noordeinde, then follows the Middenbuurt and finally Zuideinde. The Dorpsgracht is the central axis of Giethoorn and ends to the south in the Zuideindiger Wijde. You will find plenty of authentic shops and cosy cafés.
Besides the comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, Hoeve Ginette offers plenty of space on the ground floor for dining and recreation. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and the recreation room is furnished with a pool table, air hockey, toys and various board games. In the autumn and winter months, there are extra woollen blankets for cosy evenings inside. There is car parking on the farm side of the driveway and you can store bicycles you brought with you in the bike rack.
The friendly owner lives in the green house behind the holiday home and is available for questions.

- A deposit is required upon arrival.

Na een recent verblijf in dit vakantiehuisje deel ik graag mijn ervaringen. Hoewel er zeker positieve aspecten waren, voldeed het verblijf helaas niet geheel aan mijn verwachtingen. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding liet te wensen over. Voor het bedrag dat wij betaalden, had ik een hoger comfortniveau verwacht. Wat mij vooral verbaasde was dat we extra moesten betalen voor het opladen van de accu's van het bootje, terwijl de huurprijs al aan de hoge kant was. Dit voelde als een onverwachte toeslag die beter in de totaalprijs opgenomen had kunnen worden. Het algemene onderhoud van het huisje was beneden standaard. Tijdens ons verblijf constateerden we enkele gebroken ramen die niet gerepareerd waren. Ook het sanitair was sterk gedateerd, met verouderde kranen en voorzieningen die aan vervanging toe zijn. Dit gebrek aan onderhoud strookt niet met de hoge prijs die voor het verblijf wordt gevraagd. De privacy-ervaring werd enigszins beïnvloed door de aanwezigheid van bewakingscamera's op het terrein. Hoewel ik begrijp dat dit voor veiligheidsdoeleinden is, gaf het soms een ongemakkelijk gevoel alsof je constant werd geobserveerd, wat niet bijdraagt aan een ontspannen vakantiesfeer. Een belangrijk minpunt was het slaapcomfort. De bedden waren helaas niet erg comfortabel, wat resulteerde in minder goede nachten dan gehoopt. Voor een vakantieverblijf is goed kunnen uitrusten essentieel, en dit aspect was teleurstellend. Het huisje heeft zeker potentieel, maar met enkele verbeteringen - vooral wat betreft algemeen onderhoud, transparantie over kosten, privacy-gevoel en slaapcomfort - zou de algehele ervaring aanzienlijk verbeterd kunnen worden.
