Beautiful location and cozy house.
A nice house in a beautiful location. It is an old-fashioned house with old-fashioned furniture, you have to love that. We immediately felt at home. It is not visible in the photos, but all beds have new, fine mattresses. Slept wonderfully! The kitchen also looks old-fashioned, but has everything you need: a good oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher, even a toaster !! Plus points are the large fireplace and that you can walk straight out of the house into the woods. We had a fantastic time and will definitely go back.
Wonderfully quiet location on the edge of the forest.
We enjoyed the location. Great place, only interior a bit dated. Nowadays there are 3 comfortable 2 person box-spring beds. Together with a good double bed, fine for 4x2 people. The other beds are more for children. The attic is not very suitable for tall people. In the living room there is a table for 8 people, which can be done with 10, but then it stops. The kitchen with good quality white goods. Sufficient kitchen materials, but otherwise dated. The outdoor space is great, you have to go here for that! Excellent outdoor chairs and tables. Behind the house an open space in the forest where all kinds of activities can take place. A nice place for a campfire and a nice tennis court. There are also plenty of rackets etc available. In the shed some bicycles, a large go-kart and tennis table (not used by all of us). In short, we enjoyed sports and games here, despite the bad weather and would like to come back again.
Lovely characteristic old house, in a quiet wooded area. House is fully equipped and feels warm. Most of the interior is antique and anything but new, however everything works and thus makes it an ideal place to stay with a group.
You have to come from a good family to get us to write a bad review. To begin with, the positive; we were exactly during a midweek plenty of snow in a beautiful location. The only traces around the house were on departure from ourselves and from the animals from the area. On arrival the road to the house was difficult due to the snow. To our surprise, a day later the road was made more passable UP TO the caretaker's house, but the part to the rented house remained quite snowy. Very hospitable and customer-friendly .... The house was not even brought up to temperature. Only after 24 hours of heavy heating, the living area became a bit more pleasant and the hot water tap in the kitchen finally worked. Is a cloth tied around the water pipe in the kitchen to prevent leakage? The oldest toilet still has an old narrower drain and can become clogged more quickly. The other toilets are less likely to cause problems in that regard. One of the other toilets has a pot that has probably never been properly polished on the platform; what a dirty limescale! Not yet talked about the dingy light switch. In any case, little attention is paid to cleaning. The mantelpiece above the fireplace was covered with dust, the teapot still had an old tea bag, there was an old open package of rye bread, a sofa was covered with hair. The shower door does not close, the shower head cannot be moved (or with much effort?). The infrared sauna gives off heat, but not a single lamp burns. There are extension cords everywhere, even dangling under a sink. Electricity wires are sometimes visible, also near (old) moisture spots. Spotlights are attached to the ceiling with adhesive tape. The house appears to be for 12 people. It is special that there are 8 dining chairs. Some beds upstairs can only be reached via a difficult and dangerous transfer from the stairs. Two other beds are through a room that is used as storage and crammed s
