Located in the centre of Mrkovi, our newly built house is surrounded by Mediterranean forest and olive trees. It was built in the traditional way from hand-cut stones. The house consists of 2 separate flats that can be connected to each other. This makes it ideal for families of friends. In the main part there is the large living room on the ground floor with access to the terrace, above it 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. An external staircase leads from the upper floor to the roof terrace. There is a small, well-equipped kitchen next to the entrance door, a guest toilet with French toilet and washing machine under the staircase. The 2nd flat is located in the tower, half a storey higher. From here you can also reach the roof terrace via the outside staircase. The kitchen and bathroom are on the ground floor, the living and sleeping areas are on the upper floor. Our pool has a counter-current system and a waterfall that can be switched on, and there is a large terrace with an outdoor shower and sun loungers. Our house is heated with an air heat pump via underfloor heating, air conditioning for cooling. There is also an open fireplace for cosy hours in the cooler months. As there is no water supply on our side of the Lustica peninsula, we draw our service water from cisterns. Drinking water is bought in 6-litre canisters. A travelling trader comes daily with basic foodstuffs and fresh fruit,.... Our houses VILLA VIKTORIA (old stone house) and CASA AUSTRIA are located next to the orthodox church St Lazarus. There are several other flat houses in our village and their owners, otherwise it is very quiet, only forest and olive groves. As we have to buy water for the cisterns, we ask our guests to use it carefully.
