The chalk cliff "Königsstuhl", 117 metres high, is a popular vantage point for tourists. Sassnitz is a harbour town, tourist resort and the town includes the "Sassnitz ferry port" with its international ferry routes to Trelleborg (Sweden), Bornholm (Denmark), Klaipeda (Lithuania) and other Baltic Sea ports.
