HOLIDAY HOME BY THE SEAThe small holiday house "Il Pino", together with 2 other holiday houses, is situated in a typical southern garden, directly at the sea, at a small rocky reef, which can be reached by a private entrance. The holiday home is surrounded by numerous pine trees, cacti, carob and eucalyptus trees, as well as flowering oleander and hibiscus bushes.Beautiful dune beaches and romantic bays are only 2 minutes away from the garden by car. The holiday home includes two separate bedrooms (one double room and another smaller room with a single bed, in which we can put a bunk bed if desired), a kitchen, shower + WC and Wifi internet. In the kitchen of the small holiday home, there is air conditioning.Outside there are two small terraces, one covered and one sun terrace. An outdoor shower with hot and cold water is also included.The car can be parked in the enclosed garden right next to the holiday home. The garden on which the small holiday home is located has its own private access to the sea. The shallow, sandy rocky reef is wonderfully suited for sunbathing and relaxing. Children can also search for shells, crabs and small fish among the pools and stones on the shore.The shallow rocky sandy shore in front of the park is almost a private house - beach, which, even in the busy high season, is not very frequented. Here you can enjoy the peace and idyll and watch the sunset in the evening with a glass of red wine.From the park, where the small holiday home Il Pino is located, you can jog or walk along the coast and the sandy beach to the centre of Marina di Modica.During the summer months, various fruit, vegetable and cheese trucks come directly to the park. At this time the baker also comes and brings fresh bread, biscuits and croissants every morning directly in front of the holiday home. MARINA DI MODICAMarina di Modica is situated directly on the sea, between Sampieri and Pozzallo, at the southern tip of Sicily, far from the tourist centres. The sandy beach is surrounded by dunes and is one of the most beautiful stretches of coast on the island. The sandy beach slopes gently into the sea and is ideal for families with small children, but also for senior citizens. Along the seafront, there is a beautiful promenade surrounded by a park in southern Italian style, where a market is held at weekends. In July and August, when the locals are on holiday, the otherwise quiet seaside resort comes alive, with live music, theatre performances and beach bars around the centrally located Bungalow Park providing entertainment until late at night. In winter, warm, spring-like temperatures invite you to spend the winter in Sicily.POZZALLO AND MODICAOnly 6 km from the park is the small fishing town of Pozzallo, with numerous shopping opportunities and a beautiful 'piazza' surrounded by palm trees. If you like fresh fish, this is the place to be. The baroque town of Modica is only a 15-minute drive from Marina di Modica and is what you would expect from a typical Sicilian small town. Life pulsates here from early in the morning until late at night. The old town of Modica with its numerous baroque churches, such as the Cathedral of San Giorgio, is impressive both by day and by night! EXCURSION DESTINATIONSOther interesting excursion destinations include Syracuse, Agrigento, Palermo, Segesta, Selinunte, Cefalù, Piazza Armerina, Catania, Cava d`Ispica, Camarina, Castello di Donnafugata, Ragusa, Modica, Noto, Scicli, Taormina and of course Mount Etna.
