La Pineta

A place of power for relaxed and peaceful holidays. La Pineta is located on the outskirts of Locarno (Locarno Monti). It is right on the edge of the forest and has a large, wild garden with old trees, in particular huge rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, magnolias and chestnuts. It is accessible by car and has parking for three cars. The access road is narrow and steep, but easily manageable. On the property is the three-storey main house with a large kitchen-living room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The eat-in kitchen and the bathroom on the ground floor were completely renovated and refitted in March 2023. The eat-in kitchen, where life together takes place, has a large table with a corner bench. A wood-burning stove provides cosy warmth when needed (there is always enough wood available). The bedrooms are not heated. But there are down duvets and duvet covers. The bathrooms are heated. La Pineta is an ideal place to spend a wonderful holiday with two families, a large family or friends. It is a place to linger. The immediate and nearby surroundings also invite you to explore. The special thing about La Pineta is the tranquillity and the close proximity to nature. When the weather is nice (and it often is in Ticino), life takes place mainly on the large terrace, where there is a large table with benches. Here you can spend wonderful hours together. There is also a charcoal barbecue. If it gets too hot, the large bathtub under the palm trees invites you to take a cool bath. And in the late evening or at night, wild animals sometimes come to visit. There are countless excursion possibilities in the surrounding area: - The cable car to Cardada and the funicular railway to Locarno are just a 15-minute walk away. - The famous Madonna del Sasso monastery is also within easy reach. - Hiking trails start directly from the house. - Locarno can be reached on foot on scenic paths and stairs in 30 minutes. - The famous valleys such as the Verzasca Valley, the Maggia Valley and the Cento Valli can be explored by public transport. - The nearby Lake Maggiore and the rivers in the valleys are ideal for swimming. - From Locarno, you can reach the Italian town of Luino (with a great market), the Isole di Brissago (with a beautiful park) or Cannobio on the Italian side by boat.0 Other living room equipment (living room1): See information about the kitchen.
