The Gorges du Verdon (Europe's Grand Canyon) is a gorge with cliffs and small beaches on the Verdon River, which is great to paddle through. Also, enjoy the cozy villages in this area, such as the pretty Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, or eat truffle dishes in the town of Aups (which also has an excellent weekly market!).
