Lammintupa is located in the smallest municipality of South Karelia region, in the middle of the charming countryside landscape by the pond Kirveslampi. The cabin is ideal for couples with one child for a peaceful holiday. The place also offers excellent, peaceful forest trails for jogging. Lemi is known for its famous Lemi's särä, which is on of the seven wonders of Finland. Lemi's särä, a delicious lamb stewed in a birch vat for a long time, is available at Lemi's Museum. 27 km to the west from Lappeenranta, spring-based pond Kirveslampi 60 m (length 500 m, width 300 m), hard, gently deepening clay bottom, pier and rowing boat. Wooden cabin 1966, renovated in 1984, interior surfaces are renovated in 2021, living room, kitchen. Two beds in bedroom, one bed in another bedroom (bedrooms windows have blackout curtains). WC and shower in washroom, electric sauna stove in sauna. Separate sauna on the beach in summer use during May-September (no electricity), wood burning sauna stove, cauldron in the washroom. Water must be carried to the sauna. One firewood basket/day is included in the price, after that an extra fee of € 5/basket (payment directly to the owner by cash). Fiber optic connection available. Contrary to the pictures, the cottage has been painted red in early summer 2024. Electric cars charging not possible in this cottage.
