Description
This wonderful Périgord house near Villefranche-du-Périgord (3 km) from 1890 is the ideal location for privacy and relaxation. The house is surrounded by plantations, cornfields and endless forests with mainly chestnut trees. This image determines the magnificent view that you have from your garden. Indoors there is a cosy fireplace and a separate parlour kitchen.
The holiday home is situated close to the medieval bastide town of Villefranche-du-Périgord, a marvelous place to shop. It has a beautiful market square with arcades and an age-old covered market hall. There are various swimming lakes in the area, such as at Prats-du-Périgord (10 km), at Frayssinet (12 km) and at Cazals (16 km). A definite sight to see is the splendid bastide city of Monpazier (19 km) where you will find a grand market place.
This area is full of beautiful medieval towns. Monpazier is one of them, but Belvès (23 km), Villeréal (33 km) and Monflanquin (35 km) really stand out as well. A little further away lie the absolute tourist attractions, such as Cahors (45km) and the prehistoric caves of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac (43 km). This city is also home to two very important museums with archaeological finds.

It is an old farm with similar furnishings. All cupboards are full of all sorts of things, so before you want to put your own things (groceries, clothes) in the cupboards, you first have to empty some shelves. huh
Reception was friendly by the owner we felt welcome. The house itself is on the old side but everything is there to make a nice holiday, we live more outside than inside and then you still have the beautiful pool. The area where the house is located is very quiet and you have lots to visit.
Beautiful setting, nice stay. We really enjoyed a week in the Dordogne. The cottage is fully equipped. The garden is amazing as well as the swimming pool. The owner is very friendly and is watching the pool every day. We have walked wonderfully in Besse and viewed beautiful, old villages in the area. Canoeing on the Dordogne is an absolute must as well as a visit to the town of Sarlat. The last day of our stay we visited Bonaguil Castle. Also recommended. Top vacation!
The owners were very friendly. The cottage was cozy but some things were renewed. Very rural location making difficult groceries but small shops in the village. This is perfect for those who go for a rest on vacation.
The accommodation is located in a quiet area. The pool is wonderfully large and well maintained. The owner is very friendly and helps you if needed. Cottage is fine, has all amenities but is old fashioned. Great house for that price
Nice reception.Very helpful owner! Bottle of wine and fruit juice on arrival.Out interior but everything needed is present.Please the pool was too cold to really enjoy.Warming or a sail would be a big + point.Very Quietly located, which means that you have to bridge some distance to see something. There is fortunately a local grocery store and bakery at 2min. to drive.
