Come and discover this beautiful 18th-century holiday home with private pool, nestling in the peace and quiet of a pretty village on the outskirts of Nîmes, in the Gard department. Elegantly renovated, it boasts a pretty garden, cosy rooms and refined decor to provide you with a perfect, intimate setting for a successful holiday.
The grounds (800 m²) are enclosed by a high wall, where children can play in peace and quiet. The private swimming pool has a Roman staircase and adjoins a furnished terrace shaded by a pergola. The interior is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bedrooms have fans.
You'll be on the edge of Fournès, a village on the Causses, rich in historic heritage, with its old centre and churches. From the Grand Rue car park, take the Sentier des Fosses for a beautiful 6km walk lined with oak trees, lavender and rosemary. This is a paradise for gourmets, wine-lovers, hikers, cyclists, swimmers, canoeists and rock-climbers. Fancy a day out by car? There's plenty to do in the surrounding area: Fournès is 9 km from the Pont du Gard, 14 km from the Gorges du Gardon, 20 km from Villeneuve-lès-Avignon and Avignon, and 21 km from the magnificent medieval town of Uzès, or Tarascon with its castle on the Rhône. And all within a 30 km radius!
Head south through the wild Camargue to the Mediterranean and its beaches, just an hour away by motorway.
You'll leave this Languedoc-Roussillon holiday rental reluctantly, but with plenty of memories in your suitcases!

We had a great stay in this house. The place is perfect for staying at 9 without feeling cramped. The swimming pool is very pleasant as well as the terrace in the shade of the vine.
Very spacious, beautiful and authentic house. The kitchen is beautiful and clean. This house fulfilled all our expectations making our holiday excellent. The town of Fournes is small but very cozy. All the people we met were very friendly. The pool was very well maintained and we used it a lot. In short, a holiday that we would undoubtedly do again in that house.
We stayed with two families (9 people) in this house with a special layout and spacious rooms. Beautiful stone staircase in the middle of the house. The garden with swimming pool is very pleasant and quiet. In the background you can hear the highway, but that is not bothersome. It was very hot this week in July, but because of the thick stone walls and the good fans it was possible to do without air conditioning. Very complete kitchen with adjacent small terrace. Patio furniture at the back needs to be replaced. There was apparently an apartment with its own entrance on the top floor of the house. This was not a nuisance, but we were not aware of this.
The house is easy to find and the arrival was pleasant. We greatly enjoyed the beautiful spacious house with wonderful swimming pool. The terrace is also wonderful under the vines and next to the olive tree. However, the village has few facilities and we actually have not been. There are plenty of other villages a few km away where you can do good shopping, etc.
Reception was very warm by the hostess. Tasty bottle of wine was ready.
Beautiful, historic, spacious and well-furnished house in a quiet, but centrally located village from which you can make many excursions. Enclosed garden and well-kept swimming pool. It was very hot in the bedrooms despite the fans, but it was also an exceptionally warm period. A minus is the proximity of the highway that can sometimes be heard.
